Head Start, a FREE pre-school program serving 3-4 year olds is in the process of recruitment for the 2009-2010 school year. The Head Start program provides a learning environment with various experiences that help children develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally. It is designed to increase
school readiness and develop a child’s fullest potential. Action for
Eastern Montana Head Start serves 149 children in Glasgow, Glendive, Malta
and Miles City.

Family’s with children ages of 3 and 4 are encouraged to apply. While
eligibility is based on income guidelines, families that receive certain
benefits are eligible as well. Up to 10% of slots can be filled with
families over the income guidelines.
